WARM UP I

In our current age and era, we are deprived of concentration. We search for focus and constantly put effort into different aspects of our lives in order to experience more of it. It sometimes feels like the attempts to change the quality of our being brings more stress and doesn't help in minimizing the noise.

The way you warm up shapes the way you move - foundational principles to develop your personal practice, at your own rhythm.

This course provides a structured approach to developing a personalized warm-up routine, focusing on five essential qualities: grounding, rising, centering, opening, and closure. Each chapter introduces specific movements and breathing techniques while offering both precise guidance and room for exploration. Two follow-along videos complement the theoretical content, helping students embody the routine until it becomes natural. The course emphasizes both technical precision and creative interpretation through guided improvisation.

Our warm up is the embodiment of focus and concentration. It is a daily ritual of concentrating on the material that is the most precious for the human being, THE BODY ITSELF. It has a vast potential, both as an independent practice and also in improving and supporting other aspects of movement and well-being.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

IS THIS FOR ME?

Anyone with a human body who is interested to deepen their study of movement and themselves. This warm up has been taught live to movers from 18 and up to 70 years old with great success. The results were always interesting and inspiring, from dancers who found that their ability to improvise has expanded, elders who benefitted from improved balance and connection with the floor, athletes who enjoyed the centering and improved focus and movement teachers who incorporated principles and ideas into their own work. Just like we say in our live work, 'the only prerequisite is interest'. If it's there this course is designed to be accessible and challenging at the same time.

DO I NEED ANY EQUIPMENT?

The object and subject of this course is your body and mind. The work will need nothing more than attention, concentration, patience and a bit of floor space to move.
