Rolls combine primal human locomotion with sophisticated risk management - bridging acrobatic disciplines and martial arts through movement practice.

This course presents a methodical approach to learning rolls, beginning with foundational techniques and spatial awareness before advancing to dynamic variations and creative applications. Each class introduces key movement principles that form a comprehensive rolling framework. It teaches you to see creative possibilities and to enjoy the sensation of moving freely. It offers you a systematic approach that includes improvisation, study, drills and techniques.

Rolls are the first 'skill' of locomotion that babies do when they start learning patterns of navigating in space. They are also the entrance and fundamental expression in the most sophisticated schools of refined movement: Wrestling, Gymnastics and Acrobatics. DO I NEED ANY EQUIPMENT?

For some of the techniques we will cover you might want to start off with a soft surface like mats or grass before attempting them on a harder floor. Nevertheless, with a proper process over time all those techniques can be and are intended to be applied on a hard floor.
