CARTWHEELS
All across different schools of thought about moving, acrobatics is the first inverted locomotion that one learns and also one that keeps being useful for years of advanced study and development. My intention is to reveal through the teaching of the cartwheel universal lessons about human gait, perception, dynamic balance and spatial orientation.

This course presents a methodical approach to learning the cartwheel, beginning with foundational wrist conditioning and floor work before advancing to variations and creative progressions. Each phase introduces key movement principles that collectively form a comprehensive framework. The principles can be studied independently or combined, allowing for flexible learning. Chapter summaries review the specific cartwheel variations covered, and all content is designed for self-paced, at-home practice.

IS THIS FOR ME?
Anyone with a human body who is interested to deepen their study of movement and themselves. This course is a great stepping stone for both people who are curious to embark on an acrobatic journey and also seasoned practitioners who are interested to find new inspiration in their own fundamentals. At the same time any teacher of movement can enjoy the arsenal of drills and concepts that are proposed in this course. Yoga, Martial Arts, Dance, Parkour, Circus, Capoeira and Fitness are all examples of disciplines that could benefit from this course.
Just like we say in our live work, 'the only prerequisite is interest'. If it's there this course is designed to be accessible and challenging at the same time.
DO I NEED ANY EQUIPMENT?
The object and subject of this course is your body and mind. The work will mostly need attention, concentration, patience and a floor space to move. The minimum size of recommended floor space is 3 Square meters. In several of the chapters we will also use a small object for heightening that we can lean into (a stool) and a bit of a higher object that will be used to mark height in the space (a chair)
